Track down missing events, chores, or information

Where did my data go?

Sometimes it feels like data vanishes without a trace. Before you panic, there are a few places it might be hiding. Most of the time, missing data isn't actually deleted—it's just archived, filtered, or in a different view.

Where to look first

Check filters – You might have a filter applied that's hiding your data. Look for filter options (often a funnel icon) and make sure "All" or "Show everything" is selected.

Check archived items – Some items get archived instead of deleted. Look for an "Archived" section or view.

Check the right date range – You might be looking at a different week or month. Make sure you're viewing the correct time period.

Check the right family member – If data is assigned to a specific person, make sure you're viewing their tasks/events, not someone else's.

Common missing data scenarios

Missing event – Check your calendar view settings. Maybe you filtered by "family events" only and this was a personal event. Also check if it was accidentally on a different date.

Missing chore – Look in the "Completed" or "Archived" section. Approved chores often move there. If it's recent, check if you're filtering by status.

Missing points or rewards – Scroll through your history. Sometimes data exists but you're not seeing it because you're not scrolled far enough down.

If it's truly deleted

Unfortunately, once something is permanently deleted, it's usually gone. However, if it was just hidden or archived, we might be able to recover it. Reach out to support with details: what was missing, when it was created, and when you noticed it was gone. We can usually help!

Preventing data loss

Don't permanently delete things you might want later—archive them instead. Keep your app updated and your phone's storage adequate. If you're making big changes to your hub, take screenshots or notes just in case.
