What are achievement badges?
Badges are digital achievements that family members earn by completing goals and milestones. They're like trophies—visible proof of accomplishment! Kids love collecting them, and they're a great way to celebrate success beyond just points and rewards.
Types of badges you might earn
Streak badges – Earn for maintaining chore streaks (7-day streak, 30-day streak, etc.)
Completion badges – For completing a certain number of chores
Consistency badges – For regular participation and showing up
Effort badges – For going above and beyond or helping family
Progress badges – For reaching milestones (total points earned, chores completed)
How badges are earned
Badges are earned automatically when family members hit certain thresholds or achievements. For example:
- Complete 50 chores → "Hard worker" badge
- Maintain a 30-day chore streak → "Dedicated" badge
- Earn 500 points → "Point collector" badge
- Help without being asked 3 times → "Helpful" badge
Viewing badges
Each family member has a badge display on their profile. You can tap to see which badges they've earned and what the next ones are to work toward. It's motivating to see progress and know what goals to aim for next.
Special recognition
You can also manually award special badges for things like good sportsmanship, showing kindness, or something you want to recognize. It keeps things flexible and lets you celebrate the stuff that matters most to your family.
Pro tip: Badges are just for fun and recognition—they don't replace points or material rewards. But many families find that kids love collecting badges as much as they like earning points. Use both to keep everyone motivated!
