From meal plan to shopping list

Once you've planned your meals, generating a shopping list is automatic. All the ingredients you need for your planned meals are compiled into one organized list. You can edit it, add extras, and share it with family.

Creating your shopping list

  1. Plan your meals for the week (or however long you want to shop for)
  2. Go to your Meal Planner
  3. Select "Generate shopping list" or the shopping list icon
  4. Review the ingredients that have been auto-populated
  5. The list is organized by category (produce, dairy, meat, pantry, etc.)

Editing your shopping list

The generated list is a starting point—you can:

Sharing and syncing

Share your shopping list with family members so they can see what you need (and not buy extras!). Some family members might pop to the shops—send them the link and they can tick off items as they go. The app syncs in real-time so you're never out of sync.

Saving lists for later

Keep a history of shopping lists you've created. Great for looking back at what you bought or reusing a list from a few weeks ago that went well. Some families use the same shopping list format each week with just minor tweaks—saves heaps of time!

Pro tip: Shop with your phone so you can check the list as you go and cross things off. It prevents you from forgetting things or buying duplicates!
