Finding your notification settings

Everyone's different when it comes to notifications. Some people like to know everything instantly, while others prefer to check in on their own time. My Family Hub lets you customize what you're notified about and how.

How to manage notifications

  1. Go to your account settings
  2. Find "Notifications" or "Notification preferences"
  3. You'll see a list of notification types
  4. Toggle each type on or off based on your preference
  5. Save your preferences

Types of notifications you can control

Chore notifications – Get alerted when chores are assigned, due, overdue, or completed

Event notifications – Reminders for family events and calendar items

Reward notifications – Updates about points, badges, and reward redemptions

Family updates – When someone new joins, or family settings change

Messages – Comments, replies, or family messages in the app

Notification delivery options

Push notifications – Instant alerts on your phone

Email notifications – Summary emails at times you choose (daily, weekly)

In-app only – See updates only when you open the app

Off – Don't send notifications for this type

Fine-tuning your preferences

You can often set different preferences for different notification types. For instance, you might want instant push notifications for overdue chores but only a weekly email summary of completed tasks. Get as specific as you need to feel comfortable!

Pro tip: Disable non-urgent notifications during busy times. You can always turn them back on later. There's nothing wrong with turning off notifications for a week if you're on holiday!
