Sync with Google and Apple calendars

One calendar everywhere

Keep all your calendars in sync

If you already use Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar, you can connect them with My Family Hub. Your family events will appear alongside your personal calendar—no more juggling multiple apps!

How to sync with Google Calendar

  1. Go to your account settings in My Family Hub
  2. Find the "Connected calendars" or "Integrations" section
  3. Select "Connect Google Calendar"
  4. You'll be redirected to Google to authorize the connection
  5. Grant My Family Hub permission to access your calendar
  6. Once authorized, your calendars are synced

How to sync with Apple Calendar

  1. In settings, go to "Connected calendars"
  2. Select "Connect Apple Calendar"
  3. Choose which Apple Calendar to sync (personal, shared, etc.)
  4. Authorize the connection on your device
  5. Done! Events are now synced

What gets synced?

Your family events from My Family Hub will appear in your personal calendar app. Work events and personal appointments from your other calendar won't appear in My Family Hub (we keep them separate for privacy). Reminders and time blocks sync too, so you'll get notifications just like normal.

Syncing both directions

If you create an event in Google Calendar and tag it as a family event, it should appear in My Family Hub too. Check your app settings to make sure two-way syncing is turned on. Some calendar apps only sync one direction, so ask us if you're unsure!

Pro tip: Create a dedicated "Family Hub" calendar in Google or Apple and sync just that one. It keeps things tidy and organised.
