Set up recurring events

Events that repeat automatically

Why use recurring events?

Instead of creating the same event over and over, set it up once and let it repeat automatically. Think weekly footy practice, monthly doctor check-ups, or annual birthday celebrations. It saves time and means you'll never forget!

Creating a recurring event

  1. Create a new event as usual
  2. Look for the "Repeat" or "Recurring" option
  3. Choose how often it repeats: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
  4. Set when the recurrence should stop (or leave it open-ended)
  5. Save the event

Recurrence options explained

Daily – Event repeats every day. Good for things like school drop-off or medication reminders.

Weekly – Repeats every week on the same day. Perfect for sports training, music lessons, or family games night.

Monthly – Repeats on the same date each month. Useful for birthdays, anniversaries, or service appointments.

Yearly – Repeats once a year. Great for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.

Managing recurring events

When you edit a recurring event, you'll be asked if you want to change just this instance or all future occurrences. This is handy if you need to postpone one football match but keep the rest on schedule.

To stop a recurring event, edit it and select "End recurrence" or set an end date. The event will stop appearing after that date.
